Houston's flooding that destroyed many residential and commercial buildings is on the plan to be fixed.

Residents against flooding in Houston Texas are determined to fix this man made problems. Many organizations and non profit firms sued the city of Houston to prioritize it. Many commercial building owners also filed a complaints to city. As a result, among many solutions suggested involve a combination of enforcing building codes, creating more detention ponds and improving drainage systems to cope with heavy storms. During the heavy rain season of 2016, many commercial buildings were flooded and the insurance claims risen as a result of it.
